The Lithuanian roofing company AGMEKA was approached by a customer looking to buy tiles that would cover the roof and façade of an apartment building. However, it was the colour of the tiles that was their main priority.
Three potential suppliers were identified, one of which was Marley.
“Our customer was very concerned about getting the right colour for their project,” explained Gediminas Šlivinskas, Director of AGMEKA. “They were afraid to choose colours that were too variegated or bright.
“To help them decide, we created large stands to display products from three potential suppliers, one of which was Marley.
“They chose Marley’s Acme Double Camber Antique tiles because the colour fitted the project perfectly.”
“We provided the samples, obtained the required stock quickly and delivered directly on the roof using a special mechanism.
“The whole project went smoothly, and the end result was stunning.”
Acme Double Camber clay plain tiles have both a longitudinal and latitudinal camber, accentuating light and shade, creating highly textured roofscapes.
Accreditation to the BES 6001 framework standard for 'Responsible Sourcing' means that projects using our clay tiles can now achieve extra credits under BREEAM.
No other manufacturer in the UK has a clay double camber plain tile making this Acme tile truly unique.
